How AirLogbooks Handles Customer Data
What we collect
AirLogbooks may collect information you provide directly, including account information, aircraft information, pilot information, maintenance records, uploaded files, images, PDFs, supporting documents, communications, and other records you submit to or create through the service.
How we use data
We use customer data only as necessary to provide, maintain, support, secure, troubleshoot, improve, and operate the AirLogbooks service, respond to customer requests, perform customer-authorized transcription or import work, process export requests, enforce our policies, investigate security or misuse issues, and comply with applicable law.
We do not sell customer data
AirLogbooks does not sell customer data, customer records, uploaded documents, or personal information to third parties.
Cloud infrastructure and service providers
AirLogbooks operates on third-party cloud infrastructure, including Google Cloud, and may rely on such providers for hosting, storage, redundancy, and related platform services.
Those providers may process data on AirLogbooks' behalf solely to support operation of the service.
Access controls
The subscribing customer controls who can access aircraft records within the application by assigning admin and other access privileges.
AirLogbooks limits internal access to legitimate service-related purposes.
Internal access by AirLogbooks
AirLogbooks does not casually browse customer records. Internal access is limited to situations where it is reasonably necessary to provide the service, including customer-requested transcription or import work, support, troubleshooting, export requests, security matters, legal compliance, abuse prevention, and enforcement of our policies and agreements.
Security
AirLogbooks is actively maintained and updated frequently. We rely on Google Cloud infrastructure for core hosting and platform-level resilience, and we implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect customer data.
No online system can guarantee perfect security.
Retention after cancellation
If a customer cancels, AirLogbooks will retain customer data for up to ninety (90) days for retrieval and export purposes, unless a longer period is required by law or a shorter period is required for security, legal, or operational reasons.
After that period, customer data may be archived, anonymized, or deleted in accordance with our retention practices.
Data exports
AirLogbooks does not currently guarantee one-click self-service export of all customer data.
However, upon valid customer request and subject to reasonable administrative and technical limitations, AirLogbooks will make commercially reasonable efforts to provide a complete export package containing structured data files and associated documents maintained by the service.
Change in ownership
If AirLogbooks changes ownership through a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or other change in control, customer ownership of customer data does not change.
Any successor may process customer data only subject to the same contractual and privacy obligations applicable to AirLogbooks, unless customers are given notice of updated terms or practices.
Policy changes and notice
If AirLogbooks makes a material change to this Privacy Policy or its data-handling practices, customers will be notified. Notice may be provided by email, in-application notice, account notice, or other reasonable means.
